These four shorts only cost me £3.50, 3 were from the flea market (asking price £1 each, negotiated down to 3 for £2.50 - it's tough at the top....apparently) and one was from the charity shop - no negotiation here, I'm not that tight...

They are all extra large which makes them even better value, the red one and the green one are going to be the key fabrics in my upcoming festive project, more on that later...

Shirting fabric tends to be great quality and produces wonderfully soft quilts, you can get a lot of fabric from a short and I also like to use the collar, cuffs, label and buttons in my quilts so not much goes to waste.
